Unborn Child, Pregnant Woman Assaulted In PA: Police Seek Suspect

A Pennsylvania man is wanted for allegedly attacking a pregnant woman and her unborn child in a violent domestic incident, authorities announced on Monday, March 10.

Iran Ramirez-Vasquez, 22, of West Grove, is accused of striking the victim in the face and abdomen three times during an altercation at a home on the 500 block of Center Street in Kennett Square, according to police.

Officers were dispatched to the scene at 9:27 p.m. on Saturday, March 8, after a domestic violence report. The victim, who is about six months pregnant, was visibly in pain and experiencing sharp abdominal cramps when speaking with police, authorities said.

Ramirez-Vasquez had fled the home before officers arrived. A warrant for his arrest was issued on Sunday, March 9.

He is wanted on charges including:

  • Felony Aggravated Assault of Unborn Child
  • Felony Aggravated Assault
  • Misdemeanor Endangering Welfare of Children
  • Misdemeanor Simple Assault
  • Misdemeanor Recklessly Endangering Another Person
  • Summary Harassment

Ramirez-Vasquez is described as 5-foot-8, 190 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
